n a challenging exhibition encounter at the Leonard E Dawson Health and Human Resource Center on November 19, 2024, the Voorhees University Tigers fell to the USC Beaufort Sand Sharks with a final score of 109-81. Despite commendable efforts from top scorers
Umar Lawson and
Keshawn Evans, who each contributed 22 points, the Tigers could not clinch the win, moving their season record to 0-4.
The game commenced on a competitive note, with Voorhees just slightly behind with a halftime score of 38-35 in favor of USC Beaufort. However, the Sand Sharks extended their lead significantly in the second half, demonstrating strong offensive prowess that the Tigers struggled to match. Other notable contributions for Voorhees came from
Omari Bryson with 15 points and key defensive plays by Evans, including 3 steals and 2 blocks.
