On Saturday, November 9, 2024, the Voorhees University Tigers showcased their dominance on the basketball court with an impressive 90-68 victory over the South Carolina Central Christian College Gladiators at Denmark, SC. This regular season encounter provided an exciting view of the Tigers' capabilities, with standout performances from several players.
The Tigers, representing Voorhees University, entered halftime with a lead, scoring 38-33 against the Gladiators. Their momentum continued into the second half, where their consistent scoring, particularly highlighted by the performance of 
Keshawn Evans who led with 22 points, and 
Xavier Finney, who added 16 points and 7 rebounds, pushed them to a commanding win. Finney also contributed significantly on defense with 2 steals.
The depth of talent in the Voorhees University squad was evident as players like 
Dylan Magloire stepped up, securing 11 rebounds and adding 6 points to the tally. Contributions came from all around, including 
Umar Lawson, who scored 10 points and gathered 5 rebounds. Additional notable efforts included players like 
Keyshaun Fleetion and Darren Jean Francios, who although did not score, played critical roles in defense and supporting plays.
The victory improves the Tigers' record to 1-2 for the season. The Tigers will carry this positive momentum into their next encounter against South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, SC, scheduled for Monday, November 11, 2024.
