Voorhees University Lady Tigers Fall to Stillman in Conference Basketball Encounter

DENMARK, SC - The Voorhees University Lady Tigers faced a tough challenge against the Stillman College Lady Tigers on February 1st, succumbing 68-43 in a pivotal conference basketball game. Despite a hard-fought effort, turnovers and effective opposition play saw the home team struggle to keep pace.

During the first half, Stillman established a commanding lead with a 36-13 score, setting a challenging pace for Voorhees. By the final buzzer, the score stood at 68-43, marking a decisive win for Stillman. Voorhees' Nedisha Ford led her team with 12 points and made significant defensive contributions with 3 steals. Other notable performances included Lelia Henderson with 6 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals, and Limaya Batimba who added 6 points and 6 rebounds.

The game was particularly marred by Voorhees University's struggle with turnovers, totaling 28 for the game, which Stillman capitalized to secure their lead. Jaida Minter of Stillman was a standout, putting up a game-high 32 points, which posed a continuous challenge for the Lady Tigers of Voorhees.
