Voorhees University will send select members of the Tigers track and field program to the 61st Annual NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championship, scheduled for March 5–7 at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center at Celebration Pointe in Gainesville, Florida.

The championship will bring together NAIA programs from across the country and will feature a full slate of track and field events over three days. The Tigers qualified for the national meet after meeting qualifying standards and recording strong performances throughout the regular indoor season.

Competition begins Wednesday, March 4, with the heptathlon opening the championship schedule. Events include the 60-meter dash, long jump, shot put, and high jump, beginning at 10 a.m. Eastern. Track preliminaries will start at noon with the 3,000-meter race walk and the 5,000 meters, followed by preliminary rounds of the 3,200-meter relay, distance medley relay, and 1,600-meter relay throughout the afternoon and evening. The men's high jump will serve as the first field-event final of the championship.

Competition continues the following day with the remainder of the heptathlon, including the 60-meter hurdles, pole vault, and 1,000 meters, along with the first full day of individual preliminary races on the track. Athletes will compete in qualifying rounds of the mile, 60-meter hurdles, 400, 600, 60-meter dash, 800, 1,000, 3,000, and 200 meters, in addition to the 3,200-meter relay final at 6:25 p.m. Field-event finals in the weight throw and long jump are also scheduled for the afternoon, offering early scoring opportunities for teams pursuing national points.

Championship Saturday will be dedicated primarily to finals in both track and field events. The day begins with the triple jump preliminaries and finals at 11:30 a.m., followed by the pole vault and shot put. On the track, national champions will be crowned in the mile, 60-meter hurdles, 400, 600, 60-meter dash, 800, 1,000, 3,000, and 200 meters, as well as the 5,000 meters. The distance medley relay and 1,600-meter relay will close the competition at 5 p.m. and 5:40 p.m., respectively, before the team awards ceremony at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Voorhees enters the championship after competing in a challenging indoor schedule, gaining valuable experience against a variety of NCAA and NAIA programs across the country.

Live results, heat sheets, the championship program, and streaming options will be available through the NAIA championship resources page. The Tigers will look to turn their regular-season performances into points on the national stage as competition begins in Gainesville.
