Introducing Edward Green is a passionate individual whose journey in the world of basketball began in the charming town of Orangeburg, South Carolina. Born and raised in this close-knit community, Edward discovered his love for the game early on.
During his formative years at Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School from 2003 to 2007, Edward made a significant impact on the court as a member of the varsity basketball team, showcasing his skills and dedication under the guidance of Coach Alex Barron. His two years on the varsity squad not only honed his basketball prowess but also laid the foundation for a promising future in the sport.
After graduating high school, Edward continued his academic and basketball journey at Claflin University. Under the mentorship of Coach Ron E. Woodard, he further developed his skills, contributing to the university's basketball program. In 2012, Edward proudly graduated, equipped with both academic achievements and a solid foundation in basketball.
Eager to explore the global basketball scene, Edward took on the challenge of playing overseas, gracing the courts in Wales, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. The international experience not only added diversity to his skill set but also broadened his perspective on sport and life.
Returning to his roots in Orangeburg, Edward dedicated seven years of service (2015–2022) to Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School. As an assistant under the guidance of Coach Cedrick Simpson, he shared his passion for the game with the next generation of aspiring basketball players. Edward not only contributed to the school's athletic success but also served as a mentor, shaping the character and skills of young athletes.
In the latest chapter of his basketball journey, Edward has embarked on a new adventure as a member of the Voorhees University Men's Staff. This marks his first year with the team, and he eagerly anticipates a season filled with challenges, growth, and success.
