Malachi Johnson

Coach Malachi Johnson is a native of Charleston, South Carolina. In 2017, he received his diploma from the Military Magnet Academy. He received his associate’s degree in science from Roane State Community College. He is a student at Voorhees University, where he is presently enrolled in the Sports Management bachelor's program.

Coach Johnson was named to the dean's list for the academic year 2022-2023. Additionally, he was named to the NAIA Character Team Champions for 2022-2023.

His involvement in organized basketball commenced during his senior year of high school. Coach Johnson participated in collegiate basketball for five years.Currently, he is serving as an assistant coach for the Voorhees University men's basketball team.

Coach Johnson is a person who draws inspiration from the Most High God. His highest value in life is striving to gain the approval of the Most High. His basketball instruction and life experiences were both imparted by his mother, Katrina McClain. She instilled the values of approaching each game as if it were his final and maintaining a perpetual sense of humility.
