Ericka Sims joined Voorhees University in 2025 as Head Athletic Trainer for the Intercollegiate Athletics Department. In her role, she provides comprehensive medical care to all student-athletes, with an emphasis on injury and illness prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and emergency response.
Prior to her arrival at Voorhees, Sims served as a Collegiate Athletic Trainer at Kennesaw State University, where she was responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to the softball program. She developed individualized rehabilitation plans, coordinated medical services, and guided student-athletes through successful return-to-play protocols following surgical procedures and other injuries.

Sims earned a Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Lander University.
