In an exhilarating evening of basketball at Bridges Arena in Spartanburg, S.C., the Voorhees University Tigers narrowly secured a win against the Spartanburg Methodist College Pioneers with a final score of 74-72 on December 10, 2024. This regular season matchup saw the Tigers improve their record to 2-6. The Tigers, guided by a remarkable performance from Keshawn Evans who scored a game-high 25 points alongside 14 rebounds, managed to maintain a slight edge throughout the game.

By halftime, the score was tightly contested at 36-35 in favor of the Tigers. Other standout performances included Omari Bryson, contributing 14 points, and Alonzo Johnson who added 8 points and showcased his defensive skills with 2 steals and 2 rebounds. The key moment that clinched the victory came in the dying seconds of the game when Bryce Wilson sunk a crucial free throw, pushing Voorhees ahead and sealing the win.
