Hall of Fame
Betty R. Davis, a long time resident of Denmark, SC is a 1980 graduate of then Voorhees College with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. She also received an Associate's Degree in Secretarial Science from Voorhees in 1966.
Ms. Davis was employed at Voorhees for 40 years in numerous position as the Mail Clerk, Accounting Clerk, Bookstore Manager, Cashier, Transcript Coordinator but the one position that she truly enjoyed was the Coordinator of Athletics Support Services.
Her main duty as the Coordinator was ensuring the dally operations of the athletic department which included business and recruitment letters, completing requisitions, facilities management, organizing athletic department functions, duplicating game programs, homecoming games activities, tracking academic progress of student-athletes, study hall, assisting the athletic director with NAIA, conference and institutional documents. On many occasions, she was able to travel with the various teams and attend the athletic conference events. In her retirement Ms. Davis still attends campus athletic events and alumni functions.
Ms. Davis was inducted into the Voorhees Hall of Fame on November 8, 2013.
