Jeffery (Pendergrass) Osborne, a Rock Hill, SC native, began his track and field journey in high school to enhance his football performance. His potential was recognized by his coach after his impressive performance in the 400M at the York County Regional Meet. Osborne's high school career was marked by victories in the 400M and notable finishes at the state championships.

Recruited to Winston-Salem State University, Osborne's scholarship was affected by the school's probationary period. Seeking an alternative, he joined Voorhees College under Coach Garon Jackson. At Voorhees, Osborne excelled in the 200M, winning the NAIA Indoor National Championship in 2010 and the NAIA Outdoor National Championship the same year. He also holds the Voorhees College record in the 200M dash.

Honored with the first Distinguished Athlete Award in 2011, Osborne continued to compete internationally and in the 2012 Olympic Trials. Now a Senior Auditor/Consultant, personal trainer, and youth coach, Osborne remains a prominent figure in athletics.
