Leonard F. Springs, Il, a native of Ward, South Carolina, earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Voorhees University, graduating with the institution's first 4-year class in 1968. Springs has been a prominent figure on the board of trustees and served as president of the National Alumni Association. His dedication to education extended to the boards of Elizabeth City State University and various community organizations.
Recognized among America's top corporate officers, Springs has been featured in Dollars and Sense Magazine and has contributed to the Urban League of South Carolina and the Greenville Chamber of Commerce. He is the founding president of the Charlotte Chapter of 100 Black Men of America, Inc., and served in both the Clinton and Obama Administrations.
A strong supporter of athletics, Springs has been instrumental in financially sponsoring Voorhees University's athletic programs and tournaments, reflecting his enduring commitment to the institution.
