Leonard F. Springs II, a native of Ward, South Carolina, is a distinguished business leader, civic advocate, and devoted supporter of Voorhees University.
Springs earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Voorhees in 1968 as a member of the institution’s first four-year graduating class — a historic milestone in the university’s development. His lifelong commitment to Voorhees is reflected in his service on the Board of Trustees and as President of the National Alumni Association.
Beyond Voorhees, Springs has demonstrated a deep dedication to higher education and community leadership. He has served on the Board of Trustees for Elizabeth City State University and on numerous civic and community boards. A respected corporate executive, he has been recognized among America’s top corporate officers and featured in Dollars and Sense Magazine for his leadership and impact.
Springs’ influence extends into national service and advocacy. He is the founding president of the Charlotte Chapter of 100 Black Men of America, Inc. and has supported initiatives through the Urban League of South Carolina and the Greenville Chamber of Commerce. He also served in advisory capacities during both the Clinton and Obama Administrations, contributing his expertise in business and community development.
