Tymesha Hosch, a native of Winder, Georgia, brought leadership, versatility, and academic excellence to Voorhees University after graduating from Winder-Barrow High School in 1996.

During her time at Voorhees, Hosch distinguished herself both academically and athletically. She pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, in Spring 1999 as a member of the “17 Incorruptible Dreams” of Eta Phi Chapter, solidifying her lifelong membership in the Divine Nine.

Hosch earned numerous academic recognitions, including:

  • National Collegiate Minority Leadership Award

  • Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges

Athletic Achievements

A four-year starter, Hosch demonstrated rare versatility, playing and starting at positions one through four during her career. She served as team captain for three seasons and helped lead the Lady Tigers to three EIAC Tournament Championships.

Her athletic honors include:

  • Best Newcomer (1997)

  • EIAC All-Conference (1997, 1999, 2000)

  • EIAC All-Tournament Team

  • All-Classic Team

  • Best Offensive Player

  • Athletic Academic Award (2000)

  • Co-MVP (2000)

  • Coach’s Award (2001)

Following her collegiate career, Hosch returned to Voorhees in 2004, where she served as a Mathematics Instructor and Softball Coach until 2009, continuing to mentor and guide student-athletes.

She currently serves as a Mathematics teacher, Department Chair, and Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Conway High School, where she continues her commitment to education, leadership, and athletic development.

Hosch’s legacy at Voorhees reflects excellence in scholarship, leadership, and competitive achievement — both on the court and in the classroom.
